Since 2004, I’ve had the incredible honor of photographing over 600 weddings. For many years, I was shooting 30–35 weddings every single year. I loved it. Every weekend meant a new couple, a new story, and the chance to capture one of the most important days of someone’s life.

But a few years ago, I made a change.

As my boys got older and weekends started filling up with soccer games, tournaments, and family time, I realized those were moments I didn’t want to miss. Those seasons go by fast.

So I decided to scale back to about 3–5 weddings a year.

Now I get to spend more weekends on the sidelines cheering for my boys, traveling to their games, and making memories with my family. And when I do photograph a wedding, it’s truly special.

I’ve also reached a point where I’m able to be very selective about the weddings I take on, choosing couples and celebrations that are the right fit.

I’m incredibly grateful for every couple who has trusted me over the years and for the opportunity to still do something I love — just in a way that fits this season of life.
