Texas-based drone manufacturer Hylio just received an exemption from the FAA that will allow swarms of drones to perform various farming techniques. The exemption could revolutionize the farming industry, as drones can theoretically perform tasks like seeding and spraying at a much lower price-point than tractors.

"Drone-swarm" agriculture could replace traditional tractors at just a fraction of the cost as the FAA clears the way for U.S. farmers to use the new technology.
