Where do I start with these two and their incredible wedding day?! The joy in their faces really says it all!

Fun Fact: The photo of Clay kissing Julia's hand...completely unprompted and it's reason 74187324 that I love them. The consideration and care they have with one another is so touching to see.

There's so many things at weddings I love so I decided to make it a series and talk about them. Here's the first one:

Showing up as a second photographer to a wedding where you don't know anyone, aside from the lead photographer. And immediately everyone makes you feel so welcome and like part of the group. It really sets the tone for the entire day.

Even with my own weddings, spending all day with my couple, their friends and family, it's a wonderful feeling that's hard to describe sometimes 💜

Again, take the picture now. Not when you lose weight or fit into a certain outfit. When you look at your photos I hope you see/feel the joy and love on your faces! Because that's what it's really about.

An absolute joy to photograph this family again as they wait for the arrival of their next little one. No pun intended because mom's name is Joy 😂

What a gift to continue documenting new chapters and seasons in my couples lives 💜

And a 5th reason I thought of...

It's so much cooler in the morning! If you're like me and also not built for humidity, you especially would appreciate this during the warmer months.

Breathing room in your wedding day timeline is so important! It allows the space for the candid genuine moments to happen that you love so much.

I help my couples in creating their wedding timeline because each one is different and should be treated with a lot of love and intention!
