Some quick outdoor portraits for Kennedie Oglesby of Kookie Swirls Cafe and Bakery out of Columbus. She's a college student, baker, and entrepreneur, plus she's family! So proud of you cousin!!

How do these photos make you feel?

When I look at them, I don’t just see an event, I see connection. The in-between moments. The quiet reactions, the hugs, the shared understanding between people in the room.

I’ve had the honor of photographing Collaborate Cleveland’s Annual Women’s Breakfast every year since the beginning, and one of my favorite things about these events is that people don’t just come to learn, they come to connect.

This year’s breakfast centered around care and caregiving, and you could feel the openness and vulnerability in every conversation throughout the morning. Those candid moments, the emotional reactions, shared stories, and small interactions between attendees, are always what stand out to me most behind the camera.

Collaborate Cleveland has built such a genuine sense of community, and documenting these spaces year after year is something I’m incredibly grateful for.

Happy New Year! 2024 treated me right and I'm so excited to jump back in after a few weeks off with my family for the holidays.

Looking at my calendar, I'm so excited for the portrait sessions and events that have already been booked for this year. I'm beyond grateful to have the best clients that continue to trust me year after year.

If you're ready to work together this year, or just want to connect over coffee, don't be shy! My 2025 goal: if someone says "We should meet for coffee", we're putting it on the calendar immediately! So let's do it.

This photo: I first had the pleasure of working with Crystal in 2020 for a portrait session. She put those photos to work and it was finally time for an update. She brought in this gorgeous burgundy suit, so I had to go with a monochromatic look and pair it with this backdrop in the color Scarlet! So wonderful working with her again!

I'm listening to the "Steal Like and Artist" trilogy and he said "share a little every day, don't overthink it."

This is me, not overthinking it.

KKP had a big event weekend. I had one photographer photographing a fundraiser event while myself and another photographer captured a fundraiser event on the other side of town. I also made it to the Heights Homecoming parade to capture all of the school spirit.

So grateful to create for some amazing organizations!

Thank you to my team for the weekend!

Hey everyone! It's been a minute since I've said hello. Just know, I've been taking care of clients in the studio, capturing events around the city, and settling into my new space. All while getting the kids back into the swing of things with school and sports, and date nights with Saud as often as we can. (Tomorrow we have a day date planned and will be going kayaking.) Life is good!

I was having a great hair day so I decided to step in front of the camera and try my hand at some self-portraits—and I have to say, I’m pretty happy with how they turned out! 😄📸

Here’s how I pulled it off:

I used the SnapBridge app as my remote trigger to capture the shots just right. (A self timer also works, it's just a little more stressful and will mean a lot more trial and error.)

📷 I set up my Nikon Z6ii on a trusty tripod for those sharp, well-composed images.

I took a variety of shots, but this one is my favorite!

Now, who’s ready to update their portrait and create something stunning together? Drop me a message—I’d love to help capture your best side! ✨

The key to a successful brand shoot is preparation.

Before we have our actual shoot together, one way I help you prepare for your custom session is with an in person styling session. Sometimes this means shopping your closet. Other times this means actual shopping!

Amy chose the latter. We spent an afternoon at a couple of our favorite stores in and this look from ended up being one of our favorites. Amy told me she's usually a black and white clothes kind of girl, but wanted to step outside that box. This copper blouse provided a unique and sophisticated pop of color that looks amazing with her skin tone and hair color. Plus it photographs beautifully.

With the outfits we picked during our shopping trip combined with pieces from her own closet, Amy was confident she would look amazing. I mean, look at her!

Let's take the guess work out of what to wear.

This year, I’m learning that less is more. I’ve been taking on fewer clients, but have been able to invest more time with them. From planning meetings to shopping trips, from the actual session to their in-person image reveals and ordering sessions. I’m working hard to making the portrait experience more than just a photoshoot.

My clients work hard and deserve a completely custom, luxury experience from start to finish.
