Her name is Sunni. 🌻✨
Lately I’ve been exploring character design and digital illustration alongside my mixed-media collage practice, and somewhere in that process… Sunni bloomed.
She’s inspired by one of my favorite flowers, the sunflower and carries so many of the themes that have always lived within my artwork: femininity, joy, growth, beauty, transformation and becoming.
Sunni feels warm. A little dreamy. A little playful. 🌻
She’s the kind of girl who turns her face toward the light, but she’s no stranger to the seasons it took to get there.
And maybe that’s what I love most about creating her.
My work has always been about telling stories on beds of flowers, using nature as a language for the different ways we grow, heal, remember and become.
Maybe Sunni was always somewhere in the garden. 🌸✨
For now, I’m just enjoying getting to know her.
And you’ll be seeing more of her. 🌻
