“It’s like rain on your wedding day…” — which, technically, isn’t ironic at all. But it is a pretty good reminder that weddings rarely go exactly according to plan.
This day started as an elopement and slowly turned into a micro wedding with family there to celebrate alongside them. They planned to be outside at Squire’s Castle, but it poured almost the entire day.
And honestly, I think the rain became part of the story.
Instead of stressing about the weather, they rolled with it. We grabbed clear umbrellas, found cover around the castle, and still made time for portraits that felt romantic and true to the day. Some of my favorite images happen when couples stop trying to force perfection and just enjoy being together — rain and all.
If you’re planning a wedding that feels a little more intimate, a little less traditional, and focused on what actually matters to you, I’d love to help tell that story. Reach out through the link in my bio to start planning your day.
