Somehow these photos have been sitting in our vault for almost a year... and honestly, that’s criminal. 😅

Last summer we had the absolute honor of photographing Taylor + Brandon’s wedding in Portland, Oregon, and with their one-year anniversary right around the corner, it finally felt like the perfect time to share.

Brandon is one of those friendships that goes all the way back to our school photography days—long before Extraordinaire Photos was what it is today. Watching him find his person in Taylor (who is every bit as wonderful as he is) made documenting this day feel incredibly special. Some weddings are jobs. Some feel like getting a front-row seat to your friends’ happiest chapter.

A huge shoutout to my bestie Ashley of Ashley Peepers for helping make this day happen. 💛

We’ve realized there are so many weddings, portraits, and events we’ve never shared because we’ve always been too busy photographing the next one. So... we’re changing that. Over the next few months, expect a healthy dose of “wait... how have we never posted these?!”

Also... anyone want to intern as our social media manager? Asking for a friend. (It’s us. We’re the friend. 😂)

We love love.

From the moment I met Elizabeth and Brent at the mackconcrete annual picnic I knew what they had was something special and beyond what words can describe. Every moment I have spent with them; whether it be at one of Brent's work functions, their engagement shoot, or even just our correspondence leading up to their big day, I could not help but be infected by their positivity and love.

Despite high heat and a lingering fog and smoke from our friends up north, they were nothing but smiles and laughter throughout the entire day. I remember spending some time alone with Brent prior to the ceremony and asked if he was nervous and his response was so heartwarming, "I'm not nervous, I don't know, I just want to see her, to touch her, to kiss her".

So many congratulations to you two on not just a lovely wedding day but your continued love, energy, family, and growth. It was truly a privilege to document and share in the love and laughter with you two, Aire and I can't wait for the bonfire and beers.

Sunshine, handmade goods, vintage treasures, and the kind of creative energy you can’t purchase at a big box store.

The first ever Guest Room Outdoor Market felt like the kind of Saturday you wish you could bottle up and keep on a shelf. Thoughtfully made goods, vintage finds, local artists, and a whole lot of creative energy tucked between conversations, cocktails, and some pretty decent cookies (wink wink Cookie Boy CLE).

I spent the afternoon chasing the little moments—the details on display, the hands behind the work, friends reconnecting, smiles shared across booths, the scent of good food in the air, and all the small things that made the day feel special. It’s the kind of event that feels less like shopping and more like community.

Funny how life has a way of coming full circle. Some photo sessions document milestones. Others honor where you’ve been while celebrating where you’re headed next.

Back in 2013, I graduated from Notre Dame College with a B.A. in Psychology and double minors in Art and Philosophy. Those years gave me lifelong friendships—including Lex. 💛

Lex and I studied psychology together, served on the Psychology Club board, survived countless bake sales, and even took an Aesthetics Philosophy class together. One assignment brought me to 78th Street Studios for the first time—a place that would later become such a meaningful part of my life.

Life took us in different directions, but the best friendships always find their way back.

So when Lex asked me to photograph her to announce the opening of her private practice, Sacred Pause Counseling, I couldn’t have been more honored.

Through Sacred Pause Counseling, Lex helps people pleasers, perfectionists, and chronic worriers reclaim their confidence, energy, and sense of self.

Congratulations, Lex. Watching you step into this next chapter has been such a joy. I’m so grateful our paths crossed all those years ago—and continue to today.

Here’s to celebrating the people brave enough to chase what they’re meant to do. ✨
