We document no more than 20 weddings a year, not because we can't do more but because this is the most important day of your life so far and this work deserves us giving everything we have. We can't do that for unlimited people.

If we are lucky enough to be working with you this year please know, we're so excited and we've been thinking about, planning for, running logistics on, working with your planning team, long before the day arrives.

You've probably heard me say that I have a complicated relationship with New York City. I'm convinced that it can tell I'm from LA and holds it against me.

To be clear, I'm there often and I *think* we're friends now, but it's... Let's say, complicated.

All of this goes out the window for a New York spring (or fall, honestly, but that's a different post.) Spring in NYC is what rom-coms are made of.

Especially, spring in Central Park. Especially if you add these two.

It's too much. Just add a Ralph's cup of coffee...

P.S. Remind me to tell you about the time that the Plaza almost wouldn't seat Erica and I for breakfast because we apparently looked unhoused after working all morning in the city, and we barely made the cut for breakfast. LA would never - just saying.

I was just telling the story of the first image in this carousel. It actually has a twin, the bride from the front at the same moment.

That might not seem interesting if you don't know that we saw it happening at least 100 feet behind her as she was walking/skipping towards the water on the only boardwalk during her destination wedding.

Honestly most of it's a haze but from what I remember somehow Gina ran with the strength of an Olympic athlete down the beach, leaping over very large plants and skidding to a stop in time to get the joy on her face at exactly the same time I clicked the shutter on this.

Team work clearly makes the dream work. 😉 And by that please know that I mean I lifted my arm and Gina could barely walk for days. But worth it.

Each one of these images is the value of having a team who anticipates, not reacts.

Bridal fashion is PERSONAL. A million choices and one shot to make the statement you want to make. A few tips from our brides on how they approached fashion so that you'll love your choice, long after your wedding day.

1. A veil can make a major statement and give that classic bridal feel in a way few things can.
2. Texture - sometimes the biggest statements can be made with the smallest details. Don't underestimate the incredible look of intricate fabric details.
3. Movement - Your wedding day will not be still! It's a day for moving, dancing, and hugging the people you love the most. Your dress should show that off.
4. Choose Emotion Over Trend - Timeless doesn't mean boring; it means something that looks like it belongs on you.
5. Dress for the Moment - There will be tears. There will be toasts. There will be moments where the world stops, and it’s just the two of you. That's what you're dressing for.
6. Your Gut - This designer has an incredibly complicated and challenging story. But this bride wouldn't let that stop her. It was what she envisioned; she knew she wanted to support a designer she believed in, and she made it happen. When you know, you know.
7. Fit - Although she had two looks for her celebration, she knew she wanted to have something she felt stunning in, but also could move and breathe in all day. Don't choose something that you don't feel amazing in, it'll show.
8. Nothing fits like Custom - A design that's only for you is pretty hard to beat.
9. Pretty in pink - White is not a must on a wedding day. Think outside the box and be even more memorable.
10. Two dresses - Think about two looks so you don't have to compromise. M loved her look, but she wanted something that felt like a party, so she got another (actually, she had three because of the second day of her celebration)!

Weddings are entirely personal, and specific to you as a couple. Often, also to your family or heritage to some extent as well.

When you've been in the wedding industry for a while it's only natural to see trends come and go. Some of them are fun, some of them are trying to mimic things that I learned at my grandma's side (POV "looks like film") back when we weren't mimicking anything.

But often times, no matter what your culture, heritage, or family traditions are - the best moments come down to the simplest ones.

Your wedding is one of the only moments in your life that surrounds you with the most important people in your world.

Everyone there, just for you.

Our bride S loves the snow, she loves Christmas too. Honestly everything about her makes you want to celebrate. I think there is a line on our website that says something about "we travel often - for the right couple".

This is them: S & M are the right couple. What a joy to celebrate with these two for their destination ski weekend, with some of their favorite people.
