Due to recent court rulings surrounding Al-generated sexual images depicting minors—and the serious legal questions those rulings have exposed—| have made the decision that Photos By Angie Maria will no longer publicly post photographs of anyone under 18.
I have already deleted all photos on my socials of any child.
This does NOT mean I am no longer photographing children.
Family sessions. Birthdays. Sports. Seniors. Events.
What is changing is what I am willing to put publicly on the internet.
Generate Al has made it possible for an innocent photograph to be downloaded and manipulated in ways a child or parent would never consent to. Until our laws and courts adequately address these risks, I am choosing not to make the children who trust me with their photographs publicly available for that possibility.
Families will continue to receive their images privately, just as they always have.
I can't control what happens to every image on the internet.
But I can control what I put there.
Children's photographs should belong to them and their families—not become raw material for someone else's Al.
