Excited and disappointed all at the same time!

Three of my photos were published in White County News!! Whoop!! Whoop!!

Why am I disappointed? Well, my photos were altered prior to publishing. All of the photos that were provided contained my watermark/logo and the 3 that were used were cropped and my watermark/logo was removed. You can even see where they left a small portion of it in one of the photos.

I wouldn't be so frustrated if each photo was credited individually, but that's not the case either. Three of my photos are on the same page as two others that are provided by another source. And they misspelled my business name!!

I do have to fault myself too though. I did not submit these photos directly. They were submitted by another individual who had a contact at the paper. I was assured that I would be credited for them. At the time I was so excited that I didn't think twice or ask any questions.

I am grateful that I was given the opportunity to provide the photos, the credit due (even if my business name was spelled wrong), and that MY photos were published in the paper! Was it up to my expectations? Not quite, but that's ok.

I have learned my lesson and will do all of my own communications from this point forward, but yay for baby steps. There's a first time for everything! 😁

Once the album is loaded you will see a final post from me on this page that says "Special Olympics 2023 album is now LIVE on www.tealshuttersphotography.com"

As promised, there is NO charge to download the images of your choice!! You will find them under the client albums tab. The album will be named "Special Olympics 2023." 💙

I may be exhausted, but yesterday was such a blessing!! I had the pleasure of photographing the 2023 Special Olympics for our county. It was simply WONDERFUL!! We had beautiful weather, a wonderful crowd full of families, friends, classmates and other supporters, volunteers to assist with whatever we needed, and buddies for our atheletes.

Then you have some of my favorite people...our ATHLETES!!!! These children and adults are like no other!!! I'm so proud of each and every one of them. Yes they work hard and want to win, but their level of sportsmanship and encouragement for one another is unmatched!!

PS: I had to thrown in a few oldies of Bryston and Bailey from 2018, but be on the look out for this years photos. You won't be disappointed. 💙

The Sanborn Family - This is the final post in the Gibbs family breakdown. It made my heart so happy that I was able to capture a few smiles of this young blonde headed beauty. Even though she wasn't a fan of the camera; she was so sweet and tolerated my crazy antics. I just love them! All of them! ❤️
