Sloane scored out of Level 5 and she is heading into optionals. That’s not just a number. That’s a whole new chapter of gymnastics where she gets to make it her own.

I just happened to have my camera the day she competed her way there. (Shared with her family’s permission — congratulations, mama.)

More from this day coming all week. 🤍

If you want someone there with a camera for your gymnast’s big moments — just send me a DM.

This is what the season looks like when you stop and capture it. 🤸‍♀️📸

The GUSA 2026 Team Spirit Portrait Experience is coming — June 8th, 12th, & 13th — and booking is officially OPEN.

Your athlete has put in the hours. The hard practices, the falls and the comebacks. These portraits are for all of that.

15 minutes. Images they’ll have forever.

✨DM to book your spot — last year sold out completely.

*Please note these are for the athletes that competed in the 2025-2026 season. *

Happy Belated Birthday, .saliah ! 🎉

Getting to document you in your element is always a gift. The way you move, the way you show up — it’s something special to witness through a lens. Praying over this next year. Big blessings, big moments, big things ahead. 🤍

Happy Birthday!

Today was supposed to look different.

It was supposed to be .b.gymnast turn. Her name on the roster. Her salute to the judge. Her score on the board.

But life had other plans.

Instead she showed up in a brace, stood at the bars that changed everything four days ago, and cheered for her teammates like the true leader and teammate she is. No bitterness. No hiding. Just Madison — showing up anyway.

To her teammates who scored out today — we celebrate you. CONGRATULATIONS! You earned every bit of it. And Madison will be right there beside you in January.

This is what resilience looks like before the comeback. This is the part nobody talks about. The showing up when it costs you something.

She was there. Brace, Cast, and all. 🫶🏼

School’s out. 🎓

Two cousins. Two kindergarten graduations. One weekend I will never forget standing behind this camera.

Luna graduated May 21st. Emmy’s bridging ceremony was May 27th. And when my sister drove in from Texas so we could celebrate both of our babies together — I had to remind myself to breathe.

They put on those heart sunglasses and became everything.

This is why I do this work. Not for the pretty pictures. For the proof — that they were little, that they were proud, that they did this together.

One day they won’t remember the how this day felt or how big those gowns were. But they’ll have the photos.

And so will you.

To every Lake County family with a graduate this season — please don’t let it slip by. You will never regret the pictures. 📸

Happy 12th birthday, Miah. 🤍

One of the things I love most about being a photographer inside the gymnastics community is watching these athletes grow — season by season, skill by skill, year by year.

Samiah is one of those athletes who reminds me exactly why I do this work. A young lady who shows up fully. Who carries herself with quiet determination inside that gym. Who has the kind of presence that makes you stop and pay attention — whether she’s mid-skill or standing in the corner talking to a teammate.

Twelve is the age where everything starts to feel bigger. Where what you’re building in the gym starts to show up in who you are everywhere else.

Samiah, you are right in the middle of that becoming. And it is something to witness.

May this be your most beautiful year yet, sweet girl. Bold steps, steady faith, and a season that shines.

Happy 12th Birthday! 🎉🤍✨

didn’t say anything. She just sat down.

Watched .saliah throw herself into every front tuck, every back tuck, still learning what level 4 even asks of her. And every single time Liah came out of that skill, Miah was there.

Cheering. Quiet but loud about it.

Nobody assigned her that seat on the floor. She claimed it.

That’s what big sisters do when they love you right — they show up to the parts nobody else thinks to come to. The practice. The in-between. The not-yet.

Liah’s still learning her tucks. But she’s already got somebody in her corner who decided that a long time ago. 🤍🥹

Grandfathers hold babies like they know something the rest of us are still learning. Like they’ve lived enough life to know how fast it goes. How quickly little becomes big. How one day you’re holding them…and then one day you’re not.

I stayed behind the glass so I wouldn’t disturb the lesson.

This is why I photograph families. Not just to make beautiful images, but to make sure the people who come after have proof that they were loved. Really, truly loved.

If you’ve been thinking about booking a session, this is your sign. The moment you’re waiting for is already happening. Let me help you keep it.

Behind every graceful performance lies a story of grit, resilience, and unwavering commitment.
b.gymnast embodies that spirit, cradling her grip apparatus as she prepares for the routine that will showcase her hard work and emotional depth.

As she takes this moment to breathe and reflect, we see not just a competitor but a dreamer who has poured her heart into every practice, every fall, and every triumph.

It’s easy to admire the elegance of their routines, but let’s also acknowledge the emotional weight they carry. The hours spent training, the missed social events, and the relentless pursuit of perfection are all part of the journey. It’s a journey that often goes unseen, yet it fuels her passion and shapes her character.

So, the next time you watch a gymnastics performance, take a moment to appreciate the emotional journey that each athlete undertakes.

What are the passions that drive you? Share your stories and let’s celebrate the dedication behind every passion we pursue! 🤍
