I loved this fun lifestyle session with the Durham crew and love even more that, even though this time parenting littles is so fleeting, they’ll get to have these photos forever to remember what a typical summer afternoon as a family looked like during this season. 🫶🏼🌊☀️

Apparently, I like to keep my big life details on the down low. Like that one time I lived in my Kylie Jenner era and never announced my pregnancy until sweet Wren was here 🤪…and also that time (read: the last couple of years lol) where I have very much still been photographing all the things. Truth be told, I hate (LOATHEEE ENTIRELY) posting, but I’m honestly really proud of my work and feel like it deserves to be shared and I’m proud of how I hustled on wedding days while 9 months pregnant in the middle of July and have continued to hustle six weeks after Wren arrived while also being a full-time SAHM…like REALLY DAMN proud. With that said, I’m going to be digging in the archives and sharing all the things I’ve gotten the honor of capturing while I’ve been MIA. First up, Haley + Matt’s intimate wedding that I feel very confident I’ll never recover from. 💕

It poured down rain all day, the timeline had to be re-worked a couple of times throughout the afternoon as other things ran behind (to be expected on most wedding days) and before we knew it we were minutes away from their ceremony and Aaron + Brittany still hadn’t had their first look. At this point every inch of the venue is soaking wet, guests are arriving from every which way and Brittany tells me she’s fine with skipping the first look. I relay the message to Aaron, who is already in place, and he gives me the most serious look I’ve ever seen from him in the past 15 years I’ve known him and without pause said “Kiley, I have to see her”. With that, here is one of my most favorite sequence of images that I’ve taken on a very wet and very cramped balcony minutes before two of my favorites said “I do”. 🤍

I’ve been taking photos of the Morrill fam since Kylie was pregnant with Adeline and now she’s about to turn 5 and I’m showing her how to take pictures of her brother, Walker, and I’m just really weepy about it and so ridiculously thankful for this fam and families just like them that keep inviting me in and trusting me and making me feel like family in the process 🥲

A few weeks ago I drove to my favorite place to take photos of a friend turned client to celebrate her getting to marry her guy in a few months.

Tonight I’m driving to that same place to take photos of some clients who have become sweet friends to celebrate them bringing life into this world next month.

This job isn’t always sunshine + butterflies…but sometimes it is. Thankful. ☀️🦋
