So I went into this week booked at 128% of capacity! Wondering how will I get it done. At the end of the week I will finish the week at 71% of capacity. All cancellations occurred in less than 72 hours of the job start. 2 cancellations occurred when I showed up at the property. It's unfortunate when these things happen. I had other clients that requested work this week that I simply couldn't fit in. Before I show up for a listing I have researched the property on-line and looked at any available images, I have created the SmugMug album where I upload the finished photos, an invoice has been created in Square, an invoice has been created in Quickbooks, equipment has been charged and prepped, if droning is involved I have investigated the FAA requirements for the airspace at the address, and the email I send with the links to photos and invoice has been drafted. These steps are time consuming and part of what goes on "behind the scenes". When you book with us you are hiring a professional photographer. This is how we earn our living. It's not a hobby. We show up prepared and ready to do a professional job. I know somethings are just out of our clients control, but the expectation is that our clients will be in command to make sure we arrive at a home that is photo ready. If you are booking an appointment and the property is not ready, you know when I will be be there. You expect me to be there on time and to do a great job and I expect to arrive at a photo ready property. It's a partnership right? Even if I invoice the 50% cancellation fee I lose. I will continue to work to discover ways to minimize the cancellation issue. If you are someone getting ready to list your property and you want lots of showings and top of the market offers you need to make that house looks it best! The miles keep adding up. As of today, I have now flown 597 miles. That equals 202 hours of flight time and 1051 flights. That will get you from Clemmons to Van Buren, Missouri or from Clemmons to Barrie, Ontario Canada, or from Clemmons to Fort Pierce, Florida. That's a lot of looking up at the sky! What's even more impressive is my Mavic Pro 2 drone has clocked 460 of those miles. What a testimony to the quality of DJI drones.
