We were able to get out tonight in the beautiful blue skies and sunshine. We made our way to see the Great Horned Owls family. Rumor has it that there is 1 baby that is pretty small and not sure if he will make it. We had a show tonight with the other 2 babies and the Mom and Dad flying all around and bringing home dinner. There is so much moss around, which is great camo for this family. On one of the pictures, you will see the Mom feeding one of the babies, behind some leaves and moss. It was the best I could do. Enjoy this family...

We went to Philippe Park the other day, hearing that the Great Horned Owl parents had 3 babies. It was getting dark soon and the skies were just not cooperating, darker clouds keeping me from getting the shots I wanted. But, I managed to get a few shots to show you what we saw. The nest is very well hidden in the tree with moss all around. The babies were young, but peeking their heads out of the nest a few times, not always together though. They were putting on a show and the parents were always watching, flying around from tree to tree. I'm looking forward to a sunnier day, with blue skies this week. Until then, enjoy these...

We took a walk at Boca Ciega Millennium Park on this beautiful 60-70 degrees Florida day. Not too much wildlife was there except for a colorful spider. So, rumor has it that the Great Horned Owls have been putting on a show at Philippe Park. We found that the Mama was sitting with her newly hatched babies but wasn't showing off too much. The Dad was making sure that all was well with his family and decided to go get dinner. By that time, it was getting dark, but I managed to get a few good images during this time. Enjoy...

A little behind, but a few pics taken right in the middle of town, at Conservative Grounds Coffee Shop on July 4, 2021. We got together with some great friends and enjoyed the day/evening...

"Conservative Grounds was established to fight the scourge of liberalism and to offer God loving, 2nd Amendment supporting, Traditional Value having Americans a place they could go and feel welcome. Come grab a coffee with your MAGA hat. No longer will an American who believes in Conservative Values not feel comfortable simply getting a cup of coffee."

Bill and I started off early this morning to Largo Nature Preserve. There was so much to see! We started out by seeing Roseate Spoonbill with quite a few Great White Egrets. We walked further and saw 2 Wood Ducks and a plethora of Blue-Winged Teal ducks, Black Skimmers, Tri-Colored Herons, Mallards, Muscoveys, etc. Just when we were walking on the boardwalk around the lake, I felt like something was watching us. We saw the Mama gator, went to walk away only to have Papas eyes following us. Since gator mating season is in full force, we left the boardwalk pretty fast. I hope you enjoy some of my favorites of the day...

We went to Philippe Park earlier today to see the growth of the 3 Great Horned Baby Owls. And wow, are they growing and getting ready to fledge. We also checked on the Barred Owl Baby at John Chestnut Park, only to have him peek out at us from the nest. Then we went to Philippe Park again early evening, where the sunlight was shining on the Great Horned Family. They were putting on a show, jumping and flying from limb to limb. We were so blessed to be able to see this. To top it off, as we were leaving there was a little Red Eastern Screech Owl, tucked inside of this tiny opening in the trunk of a tree, saying goodbye. Enjoy...

We went to Philippe Park today to see how the 3 Great Horned Owl Babies and parents were doing. The babies were scattered in the tree with the nest with Mom and Dad closely watching. They are getting so big and will soon be fledging. We will keep a watch out . We also went to John Chestnut Park and found a Momma Barred Owl and her baby tucked away in the nest. The baby stuck his head out only for a brief moment and the nest was very high up in a tree. So, no pictures worth posting. But, there were hundreds of baby alligators. And to our surprise, we did not see the parents at all! We have to go back as we were only at one part of this park and this park was beautiful!! Enjoy a few of God's beautiful creatures...

We decided to venture out to Hammock Park today to find the Barred Owls and also to Philippe Park to find the Great Horned Owls. After about 45 minutes in at Hammock Park, we came across the 2 Barred Owl babies high in a tree, with Mom looking on from across the path. They were putting on a show for sure, with Mom and Dad hooting back and forth. At Philippe Park, we hit the jackpot with finding 3 babies in the nest with Mom and Dad looking on close by! It was hard to get the 3 babies together in a good picture, because they were moving around with Mom in the nest. I hope you enjoy...

Circle B Bar Reserve is a 1,267 acre wilderness area boasting large numbers of wildlife, and attracting visitors of all ages from throughout the country. We were blessed and thrilled to visit this fabulous place today, for we saw so many beautiful creatures. We were told that the lake has over 2,000 alligators, for which we saw quite a few in the lake and on the edges by the shore next to where we walking. Sometimes we were only a few feet away from them, which was very nervewracking, lol. I picked out some of my favorites from today. I hope you enjoy them...

As some of you may know, I have been in and mostly out of commission for about 10 months with horrible Sciatica pain. I was not even able to hold my camera or walk to the mailbox. For the past couple of weeks, I have been blessed with healing and able to walk up to 3.5 miles. Bill and I took advantage this weekend and walked to a couple of the parks around our area. Here are a few of the beautiful creatures we saw. Please enjoy...
