I had to make another trip to Long Island, not for fun but work, the kind I’m not used to. Suzi and I went out to grab pizza tonight and the sunset over Long Beach was incredible. We took a few minutes and walked the beach along with many other locals. Nice way to end the day ! Canon USA SAG HARBOR

I’m not at my desk this week. I had to go to NY again to my mother in laws house. And while I’m not at home shooting events I am still working
Perched at the end of the dinning room table I’m still editing and printing photos

I’ve got most of them done and we’ll have them mailed to the schools or drop them off when I’m back next week

I know…I’m slow! Made the desk soon many years ago that I’d be slow and do them all myself, and sometimes I think that was a stupid idea, but here I am, thanks for you patience

Saturday I started the weekend off by being the guest conductor us the SFU Marching Band , Saint Francis University Bands , normally im taking pics like this of the quest conductor, instead im counting beats in my head, humming the tune so I know where the pauses are, and trying to remember what count im on.

Thank you Jonathan Neff and Belle for asking me to do this, it was really fun. Im not sure the band needed me up there but it was cool anyway.

I ended the weekend with another senior photoshoot. A senior from Hollidaysburg. Ive met him a couple of times but have worked with his mother for several years.

this was a good shoot, fall colors, late afternoon sun, a bit of warm weather and a good looking kid...doesnt get much easier than that.

This photoshoot has been in the works for a while,

Community Grace Church wanted photos, weve been talking for a bit about what they wanted and how to make it happen. this morning I went to church with my cameras and lights and took hundreds of photos during the service and events around the church on a sunday morning.

they wanted headshots of the paster and elders, and such...and we did them on a background in an office and they are good...but they are not great and not what I really like to do.

as I was wandering around during the service they had the lights set up and the cross above the baptismal lit up in blue. and I instantly regretted using the backdrop in the office for the headshots.

after the service was over I talked to Beth and said, hey...can we do this...sure whatever you want to do..

I reshot most of the headshots, some had to leave early so I missed them. and then I grabbed a few extras of the kids I know at the church.

this was a fun project, and once again I went in with a plan that wasnt good enough and the situation showed me a better way!

just trust the process...

thanks for trusting me with this. it was really interesting, fun and a challenge...

PS (photo and personal stuff) I STILL DO NOT SHOOT WEDDINGS! I didnt take my camera into the wedding, I left it in the van, and Suzi said wheres your camera, In the van, I dont want to be that guy, you are that guy go get your camera!

mostly I visited with so many people that I havent seen for a long time, and Mike! of course! but the camera came out for a few photos here and there...

these being two of them, they had photographers there, I dont know them or talk to them and I certainly didnt get in their way, but as I was leaving I wanted these two photos.

once again my wife was right...I am that guy, and im glad I got my camera out.
