The Warriors played their Elite 8 game this afternoon in Somerset.

at the last game they were talking about the girl that they were going to face today. they didnt sound overly happy to be playing against her. the #5 ranked Bentworth team according to Max Preps

the team I found on the field today wasnt afraid of anyone. The goofyness was overflowing, dancing and singing, and eager to play.

the Bearcats put two on the board in the top of the first.
Jade led off with a double, and the energy went through the roof.

it took the Warriors a few innings to scratch out a run but they kept the pressure on. Addy was throwing great and the defense behind her was giving her all the support she needed.

and the energy in the dugout just kept building. every strike out, every play, amped them up, we got a hit...amped

in the bottom of the 6th they scored again Baylee scored on a hit by Lyla. Cassie moved Lyla to third, and on a past ball, Lyla stole home to put the Warriors up 3-2.

top of the 7th and the Warriors need 3 outs , a fly ball to Morgan in center, a grounder to Jade at 2nd, Jade and Maddy teamed up one more time for a 4-3 put out to end the ball game.

the Warriors are headed to the Final Four!

working with Makenna today was a blast! another fantastic student from SFU (and a central grad)

the student profile photos weve been doing have been a blast and this session was no different.

I met her and her mom this afternoon and we did a "studio" session. the whole goal of this shoot was motion, and since shes a dancer it was a perfect fit.

we chatted a bit before the shoot about clothing styles, and what I was looking for in the photos.

a single light set up, some with the 70-200 some with the 24-105

These may be a bit out of order, shooting with three cameras, and I thought the times were set correctly but its off by a minute it looks like.

I made the drive to McConnelsburg after the everett games.

the improbably series of events that led to NBC being back in the post season deserved some attention. And a chance to shoot under the lights for a highschool game is always fun / frustrating but still cool. and the layout of the field there lends itself to some nice sunset photos. those always make a photographer happy.

with the last minute call up to play in this game I was curious who was going to be there and who had already left for summer activities...and there was at least one starter missing.

I was hoping for a cinderella story but those are fairy tales for a reason. not the way anyone wants to end a season but this one will be remembered for a while due to the nature of how it came about.

the Warriors took on the Berries in the first round of the State Playoffs.
The ladies took off, hits, and good baserunning, followed by a home run by Morgan set the Warriors up!

The chanting and goofiness reigned in the dugout, Blue Hair, and gummy bears. it was a good day to be a Warrior.

They will play thursday but as Im writing this I dont have any more info

PS. (PhotoStuff) the girls wanted to play with a second camera yesterday and I didnt have one set up for them. sorry girls. I was a bit "down" yesterday. but I have an idea for the next game...well see if I can get something interesting for you to shoot with.

some of the girls told me I looked grumpy and needed to smile more...and they were correct, some days my brain decides to NOT be my friend, yesterday was one of those days.
