- A little bit of my story:
I fell in love with photography as a teenager and always wanted to do it. I unfortunately fell into addiction in my late teen years and lost my spark. When I was 22 I got clean and sober, and picked the camera back up. I worked for Recovering Addict Studios for 2 years where I was mentored and enhanced my skills including picking up videography. I then found the courage to chase my dream and open my own studio! I opened Axis Productions with the goal to share others stories of recovery, resilience and passion and most importantly provide a space for voices that deserve to be heard. I named it 'aXis' because I have battled mental health disorders my entire life. If you open the DSM-5 there are multiple "aXis'" for every form of disorder. I didn't let my diagnosis' define me or my success and neither should you. I named my business after something that could have stopped me but didn't.
This November I will be celebrating 10 years in long term recovery from substance use 🙏 I couldn't have done it without the love and support from my awesome friends, family and community. I also couldn't be building aXis without that same support!
I have love and passion for photography, videography and empowering others to use their voice and chase their dreams.
