Fall family sessions are in full swing!

I love how busy my October's always end up because of everyone taking advantage of the leaves falling and cooler temperatures. Seeing some of my favorite families when the seasons change truly is one of the reasons I love having photography in my life. Getting to give my bestie images of her beautiful family will always keep my cup so full!

Would you believe me at first glance that we took these maternity photos at a hospital?!

This mama-to-be has now spent EIGHTY days inpatient at IU North, ensuring her fighter of a little boy continues to grow. Vanessa's water broke at not even 16 weeks but baby has shown how strong him & his mom really are by defying major odds! Never easy for a nurse to become the patient but she's done it with grace and a positive attitude thanks to her hubby by her side & the amazing staff taking care of her!

Sending Vanessa and David so much love this week as little man will soon be earth side! 🫶

Yesterday I got to send my Lil Sis off to her Junior Prom! When I was matched with Jenyah 7 years ago I absolutely didn't envision this day. She has become the most beautiful young woman and I could not be prouder for who she is. I am forever grateful for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana for bringing her into my life.

Today is one of those days where I'm truly reminded my 'why'. I have had the opportunity to photograph my best friends with their parents and honestly... no greater honor. Of the sessions I've done over the past 8 years, these really are some of my favorites.

I am missing my mom (and dad) a ton. Photographs of them are my most prized possessions in a way only those who've experienced grief truly understand. Being able to provide people with images they'll keep forever is why I do this... I know their importance deep in my soul.

Happy mother's day to the three women who gave me my favorite people 💗 thank you for raising them to be the strong, badass women they are!
