Wednesday Mornings 7 a.m.-3 p.m. Fridays and Sundays all day. Please try to schedule 2 weeks in advance. We will only be booking 4-6 weeks in advance, to know better what our schedule will be. Starting November 18th we will be doing one studio session day in our home a week. Sundays only and you can schedule for either 9-11, 11-1 1-3, 3-5. If you are doing a session in your home you can schedule i

t for any time of the day that we are available. If you are doing a shoot outside we strictly do mornings and evenings for the best light. Sundays book up quick. When you book your session please give me your full name, address, e-mail and telephone number. Please allow 2-4 weeks for us to send you your disc. One of my favorite things to look at in old pictures is the backgrounds, or the style. A moment in time with little glimpses of nostalgia. What were the carpets like, the couches, are there any old products in the back? It's just something I find so interesting. I'm always grateful for old photos and these ones have a bit of that nostalgia in the back. 🖤

When I say I'm not okay it's because kids are literally aging light-years faster than I expected it to feel like. Today is Sawyers fifth grade dance and it was like a glimpse into the future of middle school and high school dances to come.

I did her hair, made her special nails, went to way too many stores to find a dress she felt beautiful in and let her borrow my makeup. And I could just feel and see how beautiful she felt. She didn't even make me stop taking pictures and she let me take some of her getting ready without any pushback.

One day the makeup will just go missing from my drawers, she might roll her eyes about how many pictures her moms taking and will probably go with her girls to get their nails done together.

So for now I'm just clinging to every single moment where I am needed in this way. This way that will fizzle out and become less and less. My goal is to raise confident, strong, independent children. The hardest part here is that by raising those strong independent children I'm teaching them how to one day leave me.

I know dynamics will change and I hope that I show them enough love along the way that they choose to be with Josh and I when they can but it will never be the same way that this little girl needed me today.

Ugh my heart. So here's to all the other parents going through the different stages of raising children and mentally coping with those changes.
