Some families become so much more than clients.

When I first met Lucy, she was just one month old. Since then, I’ve had the absolute privilege of watching her grow month by month, watching tiny milestones turn into big personalities, and documenting memories that can never be recreated.

I’ve watched her learn to smile, sit, laugh, explore the world, and wrap her little hands around the people she loves most. Somewhere along the way, I stopped just photographing this family - I started to feel excited to see her milestones continue to grow and to be excited for another session with them where we would laugh, decompress and do EVERY silly thing we could think of to make Lucy smile.

This session feels bittersweet.

Knowing that military life is taking them to a new state soon means our time together is coming to an end. We still have one more adventure together for Lucy’s 10-month milestone, but it’s impossible not to feel a little emotional knowing it’s almost goodbye.

One of the greatest honours of this job isn’t just taking beautiful photos, it’s being invited into people’s lives, trusted to preserve chapters they’ll never get back.

Thank you for letting me be part of yours. Watching Lucy grow has been one of the biggest privileges, and I hope that years from now, these photographs bring you right back to these moments - the giggles in the grass, the cuddles, the tiny hands, and the season of life that passed far too quickly.
