𝑭𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒏 𝒂 𝒏𝒆𝒘 𝑨𝒓𝒕 𝑺𝒉𝒐𝒘 𝒏𝒆𝒂𝒓 𝒚𝒐𝒖!

Ivy Tech Community College’s Visual Communications program is hosting a new gallery show but this time all of the art has been created by Faculty & Staff. The opening reception is tomorrow [Wednesday] evening from 5:00 to 7:00 PM in the back building [Ogle Hall]. It’s great to see what teachers can create in the office through their students’ works, but it’s 𝕒𝕞𝕒𝕫𝕚𝕟𝕘 to see how talented our teachers really are outside of school! Hint the name: “𝙾𝚞𝚝 𝚘𝚏 𝙾𝚏𝚏𝚒𝚌𝚎”.

I currently have FOUR features in this show and one of them has NEVER BEEN SEEN BEFORE! It’s an honor to see my pieces next to some of the best designers and photographers locally. I hope to see you all there!

To try a new art style that we both love, I made me and my husband into 8-Bit Pixel Art Game Characters! 👾

It doesn’t take me long to create them, so I would gladly do one for you for $5-10 per Portrait/Person depending on the details and accessories required for time. You will get the digital file to print wherever you please. Could make a cute Valentine’s gift. I can change the color of the background too. 💝

JUST A REMINDER ‼️‼️‼️

I am so excited to announce that I will be displaying my first solo show at Charlestown Ensembles this Friday evening at 6:00 PM. The venue and hostess Rebecca Moore Putman could not have been a better venue for this!

“The Scarlet Thread” is a fine art photography show based upon the symbolic message of Jesus Christ; with many pieces from my ongoing Biblical Adaptations collection. These photographic artworks are captured, stylized, or edited by myself to create an interactive cinematic reshowing of stories you may have heard before but can witness them in new light. Will you be able to see The Scarlet Thread in your own life?

I continue to do thorough research in scriptures and obedience to prayer as God never fails to show me visions, bringing each one to life with the smallest of details. Because of this, I will also be sharing some of my workmanship methods through a presentation. You will get to hear behind the scenes experiences and tips on how I am able to produce artworks without any use of AI at all. I cannot wait to see you all there!!

Side note: There will be free refreshments. Plus, outside of my display pieces, I will have smaller items for sale. Charlestown Ensembles is a nonprofit organization that gives back to the community through free art and music events or budget friendly classes… we support their mission!

So I have to share this with you all… since teaching I have learned new tools and have grown as a photographer/retouching artist. A client gave me the first photograph severely damaged stating it was her only senior portrait she had, dated back to the 40s/50s era. In 2017, I was still a student taking portfolio work but my skills were pretty top of the line for that year on restoration. The client was satisfied that I had given it my all as you can see she put a piece of tape right over her face and the photo was discolored. But I did my best to edit the second photo. HOWEVER, on Monday, I decided to try it again for a lecture representation and MY GOODNESS, look at the difference in the last photo! 🤩

With that said, I am open for retouching old photographs again! I can do anything from colorizing to removing tears to replacing backgrounds and getting rid of distracting people/objects in your portraits! Direct message for pricing since every job is different.

Charlestown is known for being the little “City of Christmas” straight out of a Hallmark movie. So if you stop by the show, you can check out many other activities. 🎄

This Friday evening, two of my fine-art prints will be featured in the “O Holy Night” show at the Deanne Moore Gallery in Charlestown, Indiana! ✨

It is a blessing to be featured in another artist gallery show this year (alongside so much talent) — especially one that celebrates the birth of our Savior! 🙌🏼 I hope to see everyone there! ❤️
