This is Bear. Even though he was a feral kitten, Bear and I became friends. I could rub his back, but I knew I couldn't pick him up. Bear became very ill with an upper respiratory infection, I think. Feral cats and kittens are very hard to treat when they get sick. I did the best I could, but it didn't help much. Cats around our house have a habit of just wandering off into the woods when they become seriously ill. One morning when I went down to feed the cats and kittens, Bear wasn't there and I never saw him again.
