HOMEWORK VS ARTWORK - Most photographers make the family do a lot of leg work because it's easier for the photographer or it's just what they think everyone does. That just leaves families with questions like: what pictures are best, where/how big/what material do we print them, where do they go in the house, did I crop off his head?

I believe that if you're leaving with homework instead of artwork, your photographer isn't really serving you. That's why I've got my process in place - to ensure your senior portraits live on the wall and on the coffee table, rather than rot in a gallery no one looks at after a week.

I've been in semi-vacation mode this month as I rest up and get ready for the next school year. But I still wanted to share a few more seniors from the class of 2026! Jason, Lily, and Christian were all rock stars.

Class of 2027 bookings are moving along. I can only fit so many seniors into my crazy schedule and I'm a little over halfway booked for the year.

The seniors who are booked already are pretty awesome people and we've been cooking up some fun ideas at their consultations. I'm looking forward to doing some new and exciting things with them!

Ben's the kind of kid you just love to work with. He was always excited, but easy-going. He couldn't hold a tuff expression for more than 3 seconds, but that meant the smiles were super easy to get.

We just have to work on identifying ducks vs. geese...but other than that, it was a flawless session! I loved capturing both sides of him, the nicest kid around and the competitor on the pitch.

For some reason Instagram didn't share this one to Facebook the other day...but I had to make sure everyone saw it!

So glad I got to know Wyatt better this year at football! If you've met him, you can probably guess that there were a lot of laughs involved in these sessions. And let's not forget he won the Tournament of Tuffness with his Faith on the 50 photo this year!

I drove off from Sonic thinking how lucky I am to call this my job. What do you mean I get to hang out with goofballs like this for a living?!

I'm looking forward to following Wyatt's athletic career at Brevard. In the meantime, I think I might bring some cheesesticks to his grad party...

It's always exciting to bust out a sword for some photos! Damien's the perfect ronin - a masterless samurai - because he always does things his own way & stays his authentic self, and that's why I loved this session. Now he's off to play soccer in college, but first I bet he's gonna binge some anime this summer...
