Yesterday I kicked off my 2026 wedding season by documenting Gracie + Tyler’s stunning wedding day at Highlands Chapel at Howe Farms.

𝘾𝙡𝙤𝙪𝙙𝙮 𝙨𝙠𝙞𝙚𝙨, 𝙘𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙨.

Rain wasn’t part of the plan for Jenny + Justin’s wedding day at Milk and Honey Farms, but it never stole the joy from the day.

One of the best things you can do leading up to your wedding is work with your vendor team early on to build a solid weather backup plan—one that feels just as intentional as your original vision.

When everyone is prepared, rain becomes an easy pivot instead of a problem. Clear umbrellas, covered portrait locations, and a venue with versatile spaces can turn a wet forecast into something unexpectedly beautiful.

Some of my favorite images come from days just like this one. Weather is never the star of the show—you are—and embracing whatever the day brings often makes the story even better.

Receptions are where the real stories start to unfold.

Unscripted, unpolished, and full of the energy couples remember most. From the packed dance floor to the quiet moments happening just outside the glow of the lights, this part of the day is where personalities shine.

As your wedding photographer, I’m always watching for the unintentional things that end up becoming everyone’s favorite memories later. The way friends hype up the couple, the parents laughing together during a song they forgot they loved, the inside jokes that unfold in real time.

Photographing receptions means leaning into the movement, the chaos, and the genuine connections that can’t be staged. These images are from a beautiful wedding I associate shot in Lexington, Kentucky for .co , where every moment felt authentic and alive.

Quite literally never recovering from this beautiful wedding day celebrating Lauryn + Andrew on her family’s farm in Gallatin, Tennessee 🤍

Every detail was a nod to something deeply personal, from the orchids woven into her bouquet to honor her culture, to the quiet, joyful moments that unfolded as the sun set across the fields she grew up on.

All of these images were captured on 35mm film, a medium that brings a softness and authenticity digital can’t quite replicate. The grain, the tones, the warmth - they tell their story with the kind of timeless honesty that film naturally carries.

Choosing a photographer isn’t just about finding someone to take pretty pictures; it’s about finding someone who knows how to preserve what matters most to you. The places that shaped you.
