Photographing another sibling from this family was such a fun full-circle moment.

I photographed Clare's oldest sister almost 10 years ago, and I remember hearing all about the "baby" of the family back then. Apparently, my brain decided she'd stay little forever... because seeing her show up for senior photos had me questioning where the last decade went.

And those eyes?! Absolutely stunning!

Meanwhile, Cleveland the pup came dressed to impress in his adorable bow tie and completely stole the show

Getting older is a strange thing. Watching the people you love grow up is like seeing time take shape right in front of you. It's a beautiful reminder of how fleeting life is, and it makes me want to slow down and soak it all in even more.

I took newborn photos of my nephew, Everhett, and now I'm taking his senior photos. It honestly feels surreal. Watching my nieces and nephews grow from tiny babies into incredible young adults has been such a gift. It's a privilege to be nearby and witness all of these milestones over the years.

And one more thing I noticed while photographing Everhett—genetics are weird and fascinating. I realized he has almost the exact same eye color as my daughter. Apparently, our genes like to recycle their best work

I always get a little nervous before meeting a senior for the first time. Before the session, all I have is a few phone calls and messages—I don’t really know what they look like, or how I’ll recognize them in the parking lot. My personal go to is looking for a mom and a teenager of appropriate age and give them a waive. It only backfired once when it was another senior waiting for their photographer!

Every session starts with a little bit of the unknown, and I’m always hoping we’ll click. From the moment we met, though, Tessa and her parents felt like old friends. They are truly the sweetest family. We spent the session laughing, making memories, and creating some truly magical images. I couldn’t be happier with how Tessa’s senior photos turned out, and I’m so grateful I got to be part of this special season of her life.

I’m completely obsessed with Lulu’s gorgeous photos... and can we take a moment for that incredible hair?

Also, can you believe she was nervous about being in front of the camera? You’d never know it—she absolutely owned her senior session.

Lulu is a senior from one of my returning families, and getting to photograph another senior from the same family is always something I look forward to. One of my favorite parts is seeing how each session unfolds in its own unique way. Every senior brings their own personality, making each experience completely different and so much fun to capture.

There was no question that Maya wanted some of her senior pictures at the school theater. Theater has been such a huge part of her life—it only felt right capturing her in a place where she has spent so many hours doing what she loves.

She brought the drama and I brought the lighting. What an incredible session with a little bit of everything. The dramatic lighting of the theater, a little downtown area, and the wildflowers to tie it all up in a bow 💜💜💜

Michigan finally remembered it’s supposed to be warm now, so the purple wildflower takeover is officially loading…

Because spring is showing up fashionably late, I do have a couple spots open for these sessions. Grab one before the flowers decide they’re done with us. Call to book!
