I keep thinking about how fast childhood moves.

One minute they’re carrying a teddy bear everywhere they go.

Then somehow, that little phase is already a memory.

That’s a big part of why I’ve been changing the way I photograph childhood.

I don’t just want to give you pretty pictures.

I want to give you something that feels like their childhood when you look back at it. 🤎

I have photographed a lot of newborn sessions over the years, but this mom is one I’ll never forget.

She realized she’d forgotten her baby’s bottles.

Most parents would panic. Instead, she calmly pulled out her phone, ordered bottles from Walmart, and we kept right on going.

No stress.
No rushing.
No tears.

The bottles arrived before we needed them, and we created some beautiful memories together.

Here’s why I wanted to share this.

Parents spend so much time worrying about everything going perfectly for their newborn session. But the truth is, babies don’t read the plan.

Things happen.

A forgotten bottle, a diaper blowout, an extra feeding break. None of those moments ruin a session. Sometimes they become the story you remember most.

If you’re coming to your newborn session and you’re worried you’ll forget something, don’t be. We’ll figure it out together.
