I think somewhere along the way, people started treating intimacy like it only meant nudity.

But intimacy exists in so many forms.

It’s motherhood.
It’s vulnerability.
It’s confidence.
It’s grief.
It’s healing.
It’s connection.
It’s legacy.
It’s becoming comfortable enough to be fully seen.

Whether I’m photographing a woman alone, a growing family, a couple in love, or the quiet in-between moments people never want to forget… the heart behind my work has always been the same.

Intimacy was never the category.
It was always the feeling.

I realized today I haven’t shared actual photography work on here in way too long.

Somewhere between life, rebuilding, creating The Petal Patch, motherhood, gardens, business paperwork, and trying to wear 47 hats at once… I stopped showing the thing that started all of this in the first place.

So here’s your reminder:
I’m still here.
Still creating.
Still documenting people in ways that feel honest and beautiful and human.

A little clarification because I know I’ve had people asking questions lately. 🤍

While this page still says Danielle Leach Photography (despite my ongoing battle with Facebook for the last 8 months 😅), my photography brand is now operating as Exposed by Danielle.

I’ve submitted legal documentation, trade name verification, LLC paperwork, and everything else Facebook has requested multiple times, so eventually the name here will reflect that change.

That being said, Petal Patch is an extension of Exposed by Danielle and honestly… an extension of me.

What started as my own place to heal, slow down, create, grow flowers, build pollinator gardens, and reconnect with life around me slowly turned into something much bigger than I ever expected.

Over time, it became layered with winding flower paths, wildflowers, vintage pieces, birds, butterflies, golden hour light, quiet corners, cottage gardens, and little spaces intentionally designed to feel magical, peaceful, and alive.

And now I’m finally getting ready to share it.

Beginning later this summer, The Petal Patch will officially begin offering limited photography space rentals for fellow creatives wanting a more intimate, whimsical, cottage-garden style setting for their sessions.

This will stay a very intentional experience — small, personal, creative, and never overcrowded.

There will also be future styled shoots, creative events, and other experiences hosted within the space exclusively through Exposed by Danielle and The Petal Patch.

I’m incredibly excited to finally start opening this little world I’ve poured so much love into behind the scenes for so long. 🤍

Morning garden walks, coffee, dirty glasses, gym next… and trying to process how many photographers have reached out lately 🥹🌿

Last year I had several photographers ask if I’d ever open my garden space up for sessions.

At the time, I wasn’t ready.

But over the last year, this little space has slowly become something really special.

And while this isn’t a massive open-field venue, it was never meant to be.

It’s intimate. Layered. Whimsical. Moody. Intentional.

Every corner has been designed through the eye of a photographer and creative — thinking about light, texture, depth, movement, storytelling, and emotion.

Vintage pieces. Flower pockets. Shade gardens. Wild corners. Golden light. Little moments everywhere.

It feels less like a venue…and more like stepping into a creative experience.

So before I officially open the calendar for bookings, I’m going to host a couple limited Styled Shoot Evenings in June with curated models, intentional setups, and a relaxed atmosphere for photographers wanting fresh content and a different kind of space to create in.

Very limited spots because I want these evenings to stay inspiring — not overcrowded.
