It feels like just yesterday these seniors were walking into high school, and now they're getting ready to take on the next chapter. Watching these milestones through my lens is always such an honor, and Christopher absolutely rocked his cap and gown session!

With graduation for Claremont coming up this Thursday, I know there are still a few seniors who may not have had the chance to capture this moment. These photos aren't just for now—they're for years down the road when you look back and remember everything it took to get here.

As a sports mom myself, this session got me right in the heart.

Standing on that baseball field, watching a mom and her senior son share a quiet moment together, I couldn't help but think about my own kids and how quickly these years are flying by.

For so many families, sports become the backdrop of childhood. The early mornings, long drives, packed schedules, uniforms, team dinners, celebrations, heartbreaks, and victories. Before you know it, the little kid running onto the field is a high school senior preparing to graduate.

As a photographer, I get the privilege of freezing moments like this. Moments that might seem ordinary today but will mean absolutely everything years from now.

And as a mom? It brings tears to my eyes knowing that one day I'll be standing where she is—wondering how the years went by so fast and wishing I could hold onto just a little more time.

That's why photos matter.

Because the games end. The seasons change. Graduation comes.

But moments like this get to stay forever. ❤️⚾🎓

P.S. If you're a fellow sports mom reading this, hug your babies a little tighter tonight. The seasons go by far too fast. 🥹❤️

Pictures don’t have to be stressful.
They don’t have to feel forced, awkward, or like you’re bribing your kid to smile for 30 minutes straight 😅

They can actually be…fun.
Like real, genuine, laughing, being yourselves kind of fun.

Some kids show up shy.
Clinging to mom, hiding behind legs, not sure about me or the camera at all — and that’s completely okay.

I don’t expect them to perform.
I don’t need them to be “perfect.”

I just meet them where they’re at.

We play, we talk, we get a little silly…and every single time, I watch that wall come down.
The shy smiles turn into real ones.
The quiet turns into giggles.
And suddenly, they’re not even thinking about the camera anymore.

That’s where the magic happens ✨

Your session shouldn’t feel like pressure — it should feel like a memory in itself.

And I promise, I’ve got you (and your kiddos) the whole way 💕

Motherhood moves so fast. One minute they’re tiny in your arms and the next they’re running ahead of you asking for snacks every 5 minutes, and then they’re DRIVING. We take thousands of photos of our kids…but almost none with them.

So I’m hosting something really special at the studio.
