Please visit my website www.matthewzory.com I’m drawn to photography for the same reasons I am drawn to music.

Matthew Zory is the assistant principal bass of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and the rhythm section bassist of the
Cincinnati Pops. Before moving to Cincinnati in 1993, Matt served as principal bassist for the San Diego Symphony and Opera. He has played with the New York City Opera, Metropolitan Opera and Phoenix Symphony and served as guest principal bassist with the Seattle Symphony Orchestra. His photography has most recently been shown in the Manifest Gallery's International Photography Annual, at the Carnegie Center for the Arts, Trillium Art Show and Findley Market's Internet Cafe. For me, the act of taking a photo is a meditative experience, there is only the present moment. Looking through the lens quiets the white
noise of daily life. When I am framing a shot -- whether it’s a tree or a waterfall or sunlight filtering in a window – my little corner of the world suddenly makes more sense. With the camera I have a chance to capture in light and shadow and shape that ineffable experience. Edward Weston once said, “You can’t explain a Bach fugue. If you could, you would explain away its very meaning – it’s reason for existence.” I couldn’t agree more. To see more of Matt's work go to www.matthewzory.com or email him at [email protected]

Well it’s certainly is but on the other hand it is someone’s window. Got a place you’d like to hang this? Lemme know! It’s about 9x19 inches. Pendleton Art Center Cincinnati

I don't use this page much...FB guarantees it doesn't get any traction. But... These are Death Valley National Park pictures from several years ago. I did a series in platinum palladium (7x7 and 6x9) a while back but I was thinking of doing larger prints. Like 'em? Thoughts?

Wow, haven't been here in FOREVER. I've been going thru bits and pieces of my website--which I hardly use---and thought I'd share a link to one of the galleries. I hope you'll take a look...and maybe share the link??
