😭😭 This 2017 tweet from a Florida Gators fan has not aged well.

Back in 2017, Ja’Marr Chase decommitted from the University of Florida, and somebody in the replies confidently predicted that he wouldn’t become anything special. Fast forward to today, and that same kid has become one of the most dominant wide receivers in football history. 💀

Ja’Marr went on to LSU, where he helped lead one of the greatest offenses in college football history alongside Joe Burrow and Justin Jefferson. In 2019, Chase recorded 84 receptions, 1,780 receiving yards, and 20 touchdowns while winning the Biletnikoff Award as the nation’s best receiver. He was absolutely UNSTOPPABLE.

The Cincinnati Bengals selected him fifth overall in the 2021 NFL Draft, reuniting him with Joe Burrow. And somehow, he managed to exceed even the highest expectations. 🔥

🏈 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year
🏈 Multiple-time Pro Bowler
🏈 Multiple-time First-Team All-Pro
🏈 NFL receiving triple crown winner
🏈 One of the most productive receivers in the league
🏈 A cornerstone of the Bengals’ Super Bowl run

And the funniest part? This isn’t even a case of somebody missing the signs of a future star. Ja’Marr was an elite prospect who went on to put together one of the greatest receiving seasons in college football history. The prediction was just THAT wrong. 😭

This is why old sports tweets never get old. Somebody makes a confident prediction about a teenager’s future, only for that teenager to grow up and become one of the best players in the entire sport.

Bengals fans already know how special No. 1 is. But imagine being the person who posted that prediction and having to watch Chase dominate the NFL for years afterward. 😂

This Rondo reaction was all of us seeing Ja’Marr Chase’s insane touchdown catch on Sunday ‼️😂

Zac Taylor knows this win was ugly.

“There’s a lot of frustrating things on our end. We had two personal fouls. We fumbled twice in the red zone. We caught a kickoff on the 4-yard line. We had a penalty on a field goal that led to a touchdown, gave them four points, and gave up over 200 yards rushing. Plenty to clean up.”

The 31-24 win over the Dolphins improved the Bengals to 3-2, but Taylor’s postgame tone did not match the scoreboard.

He listed the same problems that have shown up before: discipline, red-zone turnovers, special teams, and a run defense that allowed 217 yards on 34 carries. The Athletic noted the team captured a win on the scoreboard but not in the locker room.

This video breaks down exactly what Taylor said, why each item on his list matters, and what has to change in the bye week before the trip to Baltimore.

😭😭 THE DOLPHINS FAN KNOWS HE JUST WITNESSED SOMETHING SPECIAL.

JA’MARR CHASE IS DIFFERENT. 🐅🔥

The Bengals’ superstar wide receiver came through AGAIN against Miami, hauling in 6 catches for 77 yards and a touchdown in Cincinnati’s 31-24 victory over the Dolphins. And that touchdown? ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. 🤯

Joe Burrow dropped a deep ball into the end zone, and Chase somehow managed to elevate over the defender, contort his body in midair, and come down with an INSANE 45-yard touchdown catch. There are great receivers in the NFL, and then there’s Ja’Marr Chase making plays that look like they belong in a video game.

Through the first five games of the 2026 season, Chase has recorded:
📊 27 receptions
📊 289 receiving yards
📊 4 receiving touchdowns

He’s already delivered a two-touchdown performance against Houston, a 98-yard outing against Pittsburgh, and now one of the most ridiculous touchdown catches you’ll see all season against Miami.

The Burrow-to-Chase connection is one of the most exciting duos in the league, and Sunday was another reminder of what happens when those two get on the same page. Burrow threw four touchdown passes in the win, and Chase’s incredible grab extended Cincinnati’s lead to 28-10 in the third quarter.

The Bengals improved to 3-2 with the win, and Chase now has 58 career receiving touchdowns — the most by any NFL player since he entered the league in 2021. He also moved into THIRD PLACE on Cincinnati’s all-time receiving yardage list. 🐐

Meanwhile, this Dolphins fan is all of us watching Chase make that catch. 😭💀

Bengals fans, WHERE DOES THIS CATCH RANK among Ja’Marr Chase’s best plays in a Cincinnati uniform? Is this an early CATCH OF THE YEAR contender?

Ja’Marr Chase has more receiving TDs than ANYONE in the NFL since 2021…

58 TDs. Nobody has more.

Davante Adams is right behind him with 57, and he plays the Bills on MNF tomorrow… 👀

REMINDER: Adams currently has a 48% chance to score an anytime TD on Novig. One receiving TD and we’re right back to a tie.

Does Chase even make it out of Week 5 alone at the top?

Joe Burrow threw for 428 yards last week and lost. Today, he threw for 190 and won…

Four TDs to four different receivers, Ja’Marr Chase making history.

Meanwhile, the Dolphins outrushed Cincinnati by 100 yards, scored more points in the fourth quarter than in any of their first four FULL games, and still lost.

Miami is now 0–5, with 287 days since its last win. Preseason included, that’s nine straight losses.

What’s the most ridiculous stat from this game?
