Happy Sunday! 🤍

I hate to make a negative post, but there is going to be a change at Brent & Bloom moving forward.

Due to an increase in no-shows, I will no longer be offering completely free sessions and all sessions will now require a non-refundable deposit to reserve your spot. This DOES NOT go for people who have modeled for me at this time.

I want to explain the “why” behind this, because a deposit isn’t just about holding a date on my calendar.

Once you book a session with me, I start working on your session long before you ever step in front of my camera. I spend time communicating with you, planning your session, choosing locations, putting together ideas, preparing props or equipment if needed and making sure everything is ready specifically for you.

I also block that date and time off for you, which means I’m turning away anyone else who may want that spot.

So when someone doesn’t show, not only is that time slot now gone, but all of the time I already spent planning and preparing for that session is gone as well.

That is why deposits will be non-refundable in the event of a no-show and are already non-refundable for last-minute cancellation. Your deposit helps cover the time and work I have already invested into your session and protects the time I reserved exclusively for you.

I truly hate that this is a policy I need to put into place, because I love being able to create for people and give back when I can. But my time has value too and I have to protect the time I put into this little business I love so much.

Thank you to everyone who continues to book with me, show up, support my work, share and comment on my posts, and trust me with your memories. You guys are the reason I get to keep doing something I genuinely love. 📸🤍

My favorite photographs are rarely the perfectly posed ones. They’re the moments in between. The curious glances, the flower picked up to smell, the little smile after discovering something new. As a mom to a nonverbal daughter, many of my sessions are intentionally child-led because those authentic moments are the ones families cherish most.
