I love a natural newborn session. ❤️ Lifestyle photography is all about capturing beautiful, unscripted moments. I know being in front of the camera can feel intimidating! I do offer some posing directions during sessions, but I mostly like to let clients settle into a spot and position that feels most comfortable and natural to them. Just do your thing, I’m not even here. 😌📸

I believe that the key to capturing the most authentic, genuine photos of your family starts with fostering a space of comfort and trust, which is why my sessions are 45 minutes to an hour. It’s important to me to build a rapport with my clients and try to set them at ease— believe me, I know that it’s not easy being in front of the camera! I feel this is especially important in sessions with children, as a full session allows some time for play. Permission to play can help children feel more comfortable and never fails to create some really sweet moments. ❤️

Although my sessions are always a mix of posed and unposed shots, my favorite images are always those in-between moments. So much sweetness can be captured in the blink of an eye!

Not long after I had my first child, and somewhere between the first and ten-thousandth picture I snapped of my baby, I discovered that I really love family and newborn photography. Documenting your family as a whole is so important— otherwise someone is always missing from the picture because they’re behind the camera! (I know a little something about that, haha)
