Justin & Laura

I'll be honest, I don't expect the people in my life to book with me. Everyone has their own style, their own budget, and honestly, sometimes it just feels weird to mix the personal with the professional (not for me but for them haha). There are so many talented photographers in Cincinnati and I mean that genuinely!!

So when someone who actually knows me, knows my work up close, and chooses to reach out... it hits different.

Justin was in my brother-in-law's wedding when I first moved here four years ago. He was probably one of the first people I met in Cincinnati, so when he and Laura wanted me to capture their engagement session, I was so glad they did.

This was their first time getting photos taken together and they chose Alms Park. Four years in this city and somehow I had never been but that changes now, because I need to go back because the park & light that came through was STUNNING

The arches look so romantic & classic, the overlook add so much depth to my images & the florals and the greens... I don't know how to explain Spring Cincinnati color to someone who hasn't seen it but I am absolutely obsessed. Every shade of green you can think of, just showing off and complimenting Laura's beautiful red hair.

Laura and Justin were so happy with their gallery and honestly, so was I. This one felt special from the start.

This one is for all of the dads.

The dads spending one on time with their daughters on a Tuesday drinking coffee, reading them a book and laughing at jokes, like it's nothing, not realizing that's exactly the stuff she'll remember.
The dads holding a tiny finger in the dark at 3am wondering how something so small could take up so much space in their chest. The stepdads who showed up and kept showing up. The dads at the altar with a blended family and a full heart.

The ones staring at their son's face like they still can't believe he's real. The expecting dads with their hand watching the mother of the child grow the life of someone they love unconditionally even though haven't officially met yet.

And the ones who are trying. The ones who have lost. The ones who are fathers in every way except on paper.

Happy Father's Day to all of the dads who show up everyday to love their children and help shape the next generation.

And even though most of you are trying to sneak out of every photo, that's what I'm here for — to capture the biggest moment of your life or just a random morning that you'll want to remember when they no longer fit perfectly in your arms.

Last month, Chad reached out to me with a plan to surprise Teresa with a proposal she would never forget... and honestly, one I'll never forget either.

He wanted the moment captured at the Cincinnati Zoo, but this wasn't your typical proposal. It started with a private lunch and included a super special animal encounter. Chad and Teresa were enjoying a private encounter with Julep the penguin when Chad got down on one knee and asked Teresa to spend the rest of her life with him. & of course she said yes!

And I think Julep wanted in on the love too, because he was all up under Chad's legs while he was trying to stand back up to put the ring on Teresa's finger. It was one of those perfectly imperfect moments that made the entire experience even more memorable.

Being trusted to document moments like these is one of the most rewarding parts of my job, and this proposal was a reminder of just how creative and personal these experiences can be.

I'm also excited to share that I've recently been added to the Cincinnati Zoo's preferred vendor list for proposal photography experiences.

Jason & Michelle's proposal was nothing short of amazing. Jason was so thoughtful in planning the entire spectacle, incorporated so many sentimental pieces & made it even feel special for me to be there to capture!

Jason started the night with dinner, drinks, and after scouting out a million locations to try to find the perfect view of fireworks, while also trying to find a more private location/a place with enough light for me to sneak around, we ended up going to the overview at celestial & hill. After the magical moment with fireworks, we travelled across the river (through Red's traffic 😅 ) to finish off taking the most magical photos at the Riverfront Commons Trailhead in Covington.

I am so happy to be apart of this moment & to witness another beautiful love story move onto its next step!

Cherry blossom season is almost here, and it is one of the most beautiful, fleeting backdrops of the entire year.

If you want to capture your family as they are right now, update your photos with something soft and timeless, document your love story, or memorialize a special season of life, this is your chance. The blooms only last a short window, and when they arrive, they transform Ault Park into something out of a painting.

Cherry Blossom Sessions take place March 28 and 29, with April 4 reserved as the required backup date. Because bloom timing and weather can shift quickly, you must be available for the backup date when booking. I may be able to accommodate a different backup in rare situations, but it is not guaranteed.

Spots are limited, and once they are gone, they are gone for the year.
