It's World Photography Day! I could have posted a client photo, but how would I even choose? I've been blown away by the moments I've been asked to capture this year- from a newborn's first breath to a family's good-bye, galas, graduates, weddings, elopements, conferences, kids playing, holiday celebrations, headshots, puppies, a MAGICIAN- all in some of Cincinnati's most incredible locations. It's such an honor. And so instead I chose this photo from a trip I took when my father passed away in November. This is where decades ago I first took a photo that I felt was beautiful enough to print really big and hang on my wall. Now I have clients that send me pictures of where my photos hang in their home, and I get annual reports from businesses that use my photos to tell their stories. I have to go back to Class of 2026 for a hot second to give a shoutout to one of the most amazing young men I've had the pleasure of watching grow up. At just 18, Evagoras Papasavvas is on track at number 1 to be the FR Americas racing champion for the 2026 season. Yeah. He's a race car driver. And part of me is still like "WHAT? HOW?" Sometimes you wonder when you see people who become well known if they are what they seem. This kid is the real deal. He's intelligent, dedicated, thoughtful, and a whole lot of fun. So are his parents. So if you're looking for a champion to stand behind, or just someone who is sure to be fun to watch in the future, get over to his page!

Running into senior year! What you don't see- mom with a cooling fan and blotting towel, plus your favorite photographer absolutely DRENCHED in sweat. Because flowers need sunshine, and sunshine that day meant 90 degrees and 6000% humidity. More from this session soon!

Have you heard of an "awe walk"? Dr. Virginia Sturm did a study that showed that people who went on a walk and noticed things from small to vast had significantly better mental health over time. Photography has always been an awe walk for me. Whether taking photos of newborn from tiny toes to the whole family, or taking periodic breaks to walk slowly, notice details, and remember to look up, it is a true joy. I don't think it's a talent, but rather a practice. Try it this weekend- I would love to hear how it goes!

Sometimes I get a little carried away and we take too many pictures. And by some, I mean every. Every time 😂 It is the MOST FUN to take pictures like these on a beautiful night. I'm nearly booked for the year. My remaining fall dates open soon- let's go have some fun!!
