This family has since moved out of state and I can’t help but think how much they are going to appreciate looking back at what life used to look/ feel like back when. ❤️ This is one of the reasons I always suggest your home for your family session. It holds so much magic because it’s where you do life, the most, with the people you love more than anything. Seriously, we can make just about any location around the city work beautifully. When you book your session with me, we have an actual conversation about what makes sense for your family. I give you options, and you pick! Unless… you have decision fatigue, and in that case, I’ll plan the whole thing for you! You just show up and hang out with your crew, while I guide you through your session. 😘

I once watched a beaver make a GIANT tail slap at this location. You never know what we’ll find! This place is absolute magic in the Fall. And it’s hands down one of my favorite places to photograph families.

Which one’s your fave?! 1 or 2?

I love them both for different reasons.

1 feels warm + connected. The golden light, the closeness, the little chaos of everyone piled together. It feels like being there.

2 feels nostalgic + artful. A little more documentary, a little more timeless. It feels like a photograph you’ll want to look at 30 years from now.

Same family. Two completely different kinds of magic.
