As a photographer and someone who works in tech for my day job, I highly discourage uploading images of yourself into AI tools like ChatGPT. And I highly, highly, highly discourage uploading images of your children.

I personally wouldn’t trust these tools from a security standpoint (and I certainly don’t trust the billionaires creating this technology).

I realize that I’m saying this on a Meta platform, where they’re using our photos to train their AI models (something I’m grappling with). But opting out of AI trends is a simple step you can take to protect yourself.

Those cartoony trends simply aren’t worth it!

I’ll be updating my contract language to address this topic to protect my work and my clients’ privacy.
