Not going to lie....I rarely shoot for "me" anymore. When the kids were little, and I was just opening up my business, we were out there ALL the time. I wanted to capture EVERYTHING (and I DID). As they grew into tweens and teens, we did it less and less. It was sometimes a chore-for all three of us. Everyone was busy with other things. I was constantly shooting other people and their gorgeous family memories...life was happening all around us, and for some reason I put the camera down more and more at home, and I was ok with it.
On Wednesday when it snowed like crazy, Marlie excitedly asked me to take her out for snow pictures. I was cozy and warm -admiring the beauty from my window, but how could I ever say no?
It wasn't lost on me, as I was clicking away by our favorite snow covered bridge behind the house, that my life was coming full circle. As I watched her walk away from me, I vividly recalled our little photoshoot from 8 years ago in the sweet fleece black coat from Tiny Toes that was featured by Clickin' Moms ( I did include it in this album). There she goes. 14 already and growing into herself and into one of my best friends. How are we here already? Don't get me wrong, the teen years are TOUGH, but there is also so so much beauty. I am trying not to miss it. Lindsay Cain Parks Leslie Malwitz Cain
