Looking through some stuff I took last summer and found this short night timelapse. Looking close at one frame, I realized I caught 4 meteors in the same 30 sec exposure. Pretty cool

The Rho Ophiuchi complex around the star Antares. One of the most colorful regions in the sky: golden Antares, 550 light-years away and around 700 times wider than our Sun. The blue reflection nebula around the star Rho Oph and the gold clouds around Antares are clouds of cosmic dust, some reflecting light and some blocking it.

Looking out across the mirror surface of the lake with the clouds and the stars reflected on a cool dark night. Everything is quiet, everything is still. A little moment of zen. It’s one of the reasons I enjoy doing this.
