Brandy drove 4 hours to have a branding shoot with me for her business WildwoodYoga . Here's a little snippet about her experience: "From beginning to end, Debbie communicated how the entire process would unfold and I felt so prepared for my session. I didn't have to think about anything! Hair and make-up (thank you, Danielle!), help with wardrobe styling, guidance in posing, color analysis...she spends the entire day with you. It's pure magic and my experience has changed the way I see myself."

That last part "changed the way I see myself" THAT. That is WHY I do this. It's the full guidance and the way we do things that help my clients love their pictures, sometimes for the first time in their life. 💜

“I like green, but I don’t think it looks good on me” No wonder. She normally wears olive greens and dark greens which dulled her down. Once we put the kelly green (1) and spring green (2) on her, she brightened up! We discovered that she is a Spring, not an Autumn. So wearing the muted, earthy tones like (5) and (6) were not doing her any favors. She saw the difference in the mirror and she was amazed. From 🫒 to ☘️ !

She struggled finding a pink to wear. Pastels washed her out and warm pinks like coral and salmon made her look yellow. She is a Clear Winter. She needs jewel tones to make her pop and stand out. The best pink for her is (6) Fushia/hot pink.

She drove 4 hours across the state of Virginia to have a Branding shoot with me. 💖 We did a little bit of everything, from classic casual to a little boho, from a one shoulder dress to a little edgy, from sparkly to a little laid back.

She had the most magical time that she sent me a little note the next morning saying, "Did I dream it?".

I don't photograph models. I help everyday women over 40 reconnect with themselves after a life transition, so they can finally see the strength, beauty, and confidence that's been there all along. Those life transitions look like:

1. Reinvention (divorce, starting over, dating again)
2. Rediscovery (empty nest, kids grown, asking "who am I now?")
3. Resilience (illness recovery, grief, caregiving)
4. Transformation (weight loss, physical change, personal growth)
5. Celebration (milestone birthdays, personal achievements)

A photoshoot becomes a marker of that chapter in her life. It helps her feel alive again. It lights a spark in her that's been burnt out. It boosts her confidence. It helps her see HER again.
