Hi 👋 I’m Kait — the face behind Kait’s Captures Photography.
Your Northern Minnesota photographer, professional hype woman, and probably the one fixing your hair while telling you how good you look.
I’m a single mom of three amazing kids, fueled by coffee, 90’s nostalgia, loud music, dance breaks in my kitchen, and the belief that life is meant to be documented beautifully. If there’s music playing, I’m moving. If there’s a wedding dance floor, I’m probably right in the middle of it. And if Taylor Swift is playing, I'm singing 🫶🏻
I’ve been in business for 4 years now (what?!), and what I’ve learned most is this:
Your photographer isn’t just someone who shows up with a camera. It needs to be someone you vibe with. Someone who makes you feel comfortable, confident, and fully yourself.
Because when you feel good?
That’s when the magic happens.
I specialize in documenting couples and love stories — small weddings, intimate elopements, the quiet in-between moments, the big laughs, the forehead kisses, the tears you didn’t expect. High-quality, timeless imagery that still feels bold, emotional, and true to life.
I’m based in Northern Minnesota, but this upcoming season I’ll be capturing some out-of-state elopements and I could not be more excited about it. ✈️
When I’m not behind the camera, you can find me running, thrifting, soaking up family time, or chasing that nostalgic 90’s feeling that makes everything feel a little warmer.
Mostly though?
I just love capturing memories. The real ones. The ones that matter.
