Now that it is in the owner’s hands I can share! I think this is my favorite sign to date. This one was so much fun to watch come to life. My customer had an idea and I made it happen. There is nothing more satisfying than making my customers smile when they pick up their sign. Thank you so much to Rick and Kris for giving me the opportunity to help make your space a little more personal!

FYI. This sign is 24”x36” on a pine edge-glued board. I chose a cherry wood gel stain and coated it with polyurethane to make it easier to dust.

Our big machine is up and running after taking a several year break. This is exciting because it allows for much bigger designs to be created. This one is a really cool custom design that I am really excited to see come to life! Once the proud owner has it in hand I’ll share it with all of you! 😊

Today we remember and honor all of the men and women who died for us. They gave their lives to give us freedom and we must never forget that.

Our family is blessed. My father served as a Marine in the Vietnam War and came back to tell about it. He knew people who weren't so fortunate. He tells a story of being flown out of Vietnam for a family emergency. The only flight they could get him on was a cargo plane. That cargo plane was filled with 18 caskets returning fellow Marines to their families. That memory is deeply etched into his mind.

My grandfather served in the Army in WWII. He drove a tanker truck full of fuel across a beach on Normandy on D-Day. He made it, but at least 2,500 of his fellow US Troops didn't make it through that day. There were undoubtedly scenes from that day that haunted him for the rest of his life.

If your family is remembering someone close to you that was lost in battle, we sincerely want to thank you for their service and sacrifice. Our country is founded on the bravery that American troops show by being willing to lay down their lives for their fellow citizens.

We at Big Bear Signs will spend the day remembering and honoring the ones who gave their all. I would encourage each and every one of you to do the same. This long weekend is made possible by those who have paid the ultimate price for people they have never even met.
