Sunset senior session magic ✨

We had the best time with Emma throughout her senior year! This was just one of _three_ sessions we got to do together! A summer session, a fall session, and a cap & gown session closer to graduation. Getting to document her entire senior year from start to finish was something really special.

Most photographers will tell you to pick a lane, and honestly, I get it. There’s something powerful about specializing! But every time I think about narrowing my focus, I think about everything I’d be leaving behind.

The chaos and joy of a family session. The nervous excitement of a senior stepping in front of the camera for the first time. The emotion of a wedding day that you only get one shot at. The confidence of a personal brand coming to life through a headshot or branding session. I’m not willing to give any of that up! 🙂‍↔️

The variety is what keeps me hungry. Every client brings a different story, a different energy, and a different creative challenge… and that’s exactly the way I like it.

If you’ve ever thought “I don’t know how to pose” this one’s for you!

I see it at almost every session. Seniors come in a little nervous, unsure of what to do with their hands or where to look. And honestly? That’s completely normal! Posing doesn’t come naturally to most people, which is why I’m here!

My job isn’t just to press the shutter. It’s to direct, guide, and yes, sometimes even demonstrate the pose for you through every single moment of your shoot so that what comes out on the other side feels like you… not stiff, not forced, just real. 🙌🏻

Every great shot starts with a prompt. The magic happens when you stop overthinking it, relax, and just have fun! 😉

THIS. RIGHT. HERE.

I know I get the side-eyes sometimes when I’m adding what feels like “too many” bobby pins into a cathedral veil… but this is exactly why. 😂

A veil comb alone is not always enough… especially with longer cathedral veils, wind, movement, hugs, dancing, or outdoor ceremonies. I always recommend securing it with at least 3–5 well-hidden bobby pins so you can actually enjoy your day without worrying about your veil taking flight mid-ceremony.

It may seem excessive in the moment… until the wind says otherwise. Buh-bye veil!

From the first day of high school to cap & gown season… somehow it all flew by.

Getting to photograph milestones like this never gets old. Watching seniors step into this next chapter with confidence, personality, and excitement for what’s ahead is honestly one of the best parts of what I do. 🙌🏻

What makes it even more special? Emma has been with us since the beginning of her senior year! 🥹 We captured her first session back in the fall, and now here we are at cap & gown season closing it out together. That’s the beauty of booking multiple sessions throughout the year. And with the variety of packages we offer, it’s easier than you think to make it happen.
