Mama's are always so beautiful when they're loving on their babies 🥰

Being able to flip the lens on motherhood to show the affection and devotion these mamas pour into their children, means everything to me.

It's easy to question ourselves. Are we good enough? Are we raising kind, respectful children who will run to us for advice? Are they well-adjusted, well-fed, well-clothed? Will they be the ones to sit with the outcast, lift up a friend, lend a hand to the needy?

When you're in front of my camera, I see the love. I see the beauty in connection. I see you.

And I love being able to show you how beautiful that is.

Hi Babes! It's been awhile!

If you've been with us the past few years, you know how hard and long we've been trying to move into our family farm on the mainland. Just a hop, skip and a jump from the island, we are finally here and for the past few months have been absolutely loving life at our newfound forever.

Our studio is absolutely staying open on the island (we have so much fun there) and we will soon be selling our island home. This move has allowed Babes and Waves to expand our services even further, and we are so excited for our future.

Some things to look forward to include themed mini sessions, fun experiences with photography included, photography classes, photographer shoot-outs and retreats, and a new wedding venue. 🤩

If you have ideas or suggestions, my inbox is always open! I welcome input with an open mind and open arms.

We're really looking forward to serving the community, both local and tourist, at the places we've always known and loved, along with our new location and opportunities.

Thanks to all who made Chincoteague's Earth Day Festival feel a little warmer 😆

The talent was incredible, the vendors creative, and even though it was a bit windy, we enjoyed celebrating home 🌎

Babes and Waves took over the LOVE chairs with some beautiful plants, faux flowers from Secondhand Sunshine 🌞 and a banner made from a thrifted floral book. 🌷

Hope to be at it again next year! 🪴🌿

For London, Autism is playing happily alone, or with anyone who will play with her.

It's large meltdowns and extra cute giggles.

It's speech that comes so slow and then all at once.

It's sorting, and line-ups, and stacks of everything.

It's finding joy in the mundane. Pens and makeup brushes becoming people, and bag clips worthy of collection.

Autism for London is endless imagination, never knowing a stranger, and accessorizing daily.

Autism doesn't always look like what you expect, but is very real for the kids on this crazy wide spectrum.
She was born a rainbow baby, we just didn't know her rainbow would extend a little further. 🌈💖

✨️ Meet Quinn ✨️

My mom adopted THE sweetest bunny EVER from All About Reptiles and Pets, Chincoteague and we are in LOVE. 🐰

Japanese Harlequins originated in Frace in the 1800s and were bred specifically for pattern perfection. They are known for being playful, smart, curious and interactive and make an incredible pet.

Allan and Allen go above and beyond for the pets in their care and truly love every critter that comes through their doors. If you have a chance to check them out, they are my neighbors at the Village Mall! Known for their clean space and exceptional animal care, you can bet you're getting a great pet from their business. 🐁🐹🐢🦎🐍🐠🐇

It's official. We're making this annual 🌷🤍✨️

Now that I have a better idea of when and how long this beautiful tulip magnolia is in bloom, we'll be offering photos with it year after year 😍

SO glad this little beauty came to hang out on the farm with me 💖 She brought effortless model energy and a confidence way beyond her 14 years of life.
