It’s amazing that 10yrs ago I couldn’t have even dreamed up how incredible this career would be.

Not only working along side incredible people I’m lucky enough to call my clients but also getting to teach phenomenal beauty professionals in the art of brow lamination and threading.

Lucky honestly doesn’t even feel like it sums up the feeling💖 but dang am I feeling lucky!

I can’t believe the final day at my current space has come. Next week will be my first week at the new space 👏🏻

Today was so emotional and overwhelming. I’m so ready for what’s to come by can’t help but look at the little room that’s helped me achieve so much💕

Such a bittersweet moment🥲 I built my business with this salon and have so many memories and am so grateful for the owner. I’ve learned so much and am so blessed to have had such an incredible place to grow in.

I’m so grateful for all this past space has given me and it’s a chunk of my career I’ll never forget. It’s so weird to be leaving downtown also, I’ve been here my entire career. But the time has come to branch out and make my clients experience even better!

The new space is a dream come true and I’m so excited for everything to come! I’ll be sharing more about moving in soon💖

Being an introvert used to be something I didn’t love about myself but with the freedom a small business gives me; I’ve learned to love this part of myself.

I’ve found a way to grow through what used to make me feel restricted. I learned where my battery feels drained and when to put boundaries in place to avoid that social burnout.

I get to work with people who help me be a better human and help them reach their beauty goals. I’m so proud of what I’ve built and so thankful for those who choose to support it.

Don’t get me wrong, I’d still rather curl up with a good book and my dogs. But forcing myself out of my comfort zone has helped me see the benefits of socializing and building connections that last.

Owning a business is hard and forcing yourself to grow is hard. But as long as you don’t give up you’ve never truly failed. You just keep going 💖

If I had to do it all over again, I’d STILL start with threading 🧵✨

It’s low overhead which makes ROI a lot easier to reach. It’s something that doesn’t demand a huge investment right out the gate.

It’s also a low cost to a client, making new clients less hesitate to see someone new. It may not cost them too much but gives you the opportunity to wow them!

It’s also something that’s underutilized in our industry, which allows you to stand out. Giving you multiple sources of referrals. Not just clients sending you friends and family, but other service providers who don’t offer threading too.

It’s also something that’s low risk (if done correctly) allowing you to not only build your skill levels but also your confidence.

It doesn’t require a huge investment but it also doesn’t require a huge chunk of space in your treatment room. Meaning it pairs really well with other services; such as skincare, lashes and other brow services.

Struggling with threading? Maybe you’re focusing too much on speed and not enough on proper pressure🤔

Threading speed comes with time and practice. Applying pressure helps to remove the hairs appropriately and if that’s not learned first the speed won’t matter.

Both are inportant but think of it as building blocks. We need to lay the foundation before we get to the roof. Pressure is your foundation, speed is your roof.
