My father always used me as his subject in his photography and as the years passed, I would always see my dad shooting and capturing every moment in our lives. He would explain the details of lighting, shadows, compositions and how to try and capture everything right the first time. Even though the influence was there, I really wasn’t that interested or drawn to photography at that age. In my late

20’s it was then that I realized I had an interest in photography and began to feel a passion towards it. I first started shooting portraits of musicians and my children while using as much advice from my father that I could remember, as well as developing my own way of capturing these moments. I realized how much I enjoyed the art of photography, the way it moved me to strive harder to paint a picture within my images. It gives me the chance to express my creative side and allows me to not only show, but speak through my photos. What is most fascinating to me about photography are moments and endless creative possibilities. I enjoy seeing our surroundings from different angles and I am inspired by the beauty within a person and the world around us. To me, capturing a moment that will only happen once is a delightful feeling. If I can make someone smile or be touched by one of my photos, it makes everything I work hard for even more worth it. My goal as a photographer is to bring out life’s unseen texture and moments through me work.
