Meet jookie’s fall intern! has been helping behind the scenes making social media reels and assisting on photo sessions.

Anastasia studied photojournalism and documentary at the University of Missouri and recently moved to Chicago to pursue freelance photography. Her work has appeared in the Chicago Tribune, the Chicago Sun-Times, the Chicago Health Magazine, Block Club Chicago and other news outlets.

In addition to photojournalism, she hopes to gain more experience assisting photo shoots and photographing events.

For two decades now, our Lincoln Square community and beyond has come together to help jookie raise money for worthy causes. Essentially, it's kids helping kids and having fun while doing some good in the world.

With federal funding being critically cut for public broadcasting, and with the help of this year's special guests, Sajja and Kabba, we have chosen WTTW - Chicago PBS (kids programming in particular) for the 2025 beneficiary.

The online sign-ups went out to our private subscribers and past participants Friday of last week and is now going public today.

Note that we have a NEW tier this year for new families joining us to help encourage newcomers as our OGs continue to age out.

Jookie’s 20th annual Halloween photo fundraiser is two weeks away!

The sign-up link will go live to the public on Tuesday, Oct. 14 for Saturday, Oct. 25 sessions.

50% of the money raised will go to channel 11 WTTW Chicago.
