One of my favorite parts of photographing weddings (other than the couple and their story!) has always been the fashion. So spending two days photographing bridal collections in New York was something I’d been looking forward to for years.

A few highlights? Fletcher’s Cinderella-inspired runway love story, backstage time with the Ceremony, and the chance to pose and photograph models between Whyte’s appointments at Plaza Hotel. That last one was especially hard to leave!

This trip gave me room to experiment with film and digital, follow my curiosity, and come home excited to create more.

Sometimes a couple’s story calls for a two-part event.

Ginger and Calin started their wedding story with a City Hall ceremony and an intimate at-home portrait session in Park with cake and a ch*****ne toast (with their cute pup, of course!).

It just so happened to be one of the coldest days of the year, so we followed up at 's Lounge. 🍸

A few months later, they celebrated with their closest people at Bouchon, one of their favorite Chicago restaurants. 🥐

On the blog, I’m sharing their two-part wedding, plus tips for photographing both occasions, creating visual continuity across different dates, and making the later celebration feel like more than an afterthought.
