I always thought I was going to be a city girl. But ever since my short and sweet cameo in San Luis Obispo and living in Michigan during Covid, being outdoors in quiet spaces has been calling louder and louder. Spending the evening with Maxx and Sidney on their vineyard felt like stepping even further into that feeling.

I met them two years ago at Third Coast Soif while they were pouring for their vineyard, Stranger Wines (if you have not tried their wines, you MUST)! From there, I continued bumping into them at Out There in Michigan on bingo night where they were, of course, the callers.

Having the opportunity to photograph them on their vineyard with their two beautiful children, Billie and Finn, filled my cup in a way I can’t quite describe. When all you can hear is birds singing, the grass crunching beneath your feet, and Billie’s little laughter, it creates a different type of presence. The kind where you don’t want any distractions and are so content in the exact moment you’re in.

We frolicked, picked flowers, cuddled and chased sheep, ate cookies… all the things ✨

It was truly such a privilege to witness this season of their lives and get a beautiful glimpse into the world they’ve created.

Late because I was lucky enough to spend the whole day with this angel goddess sunflower fairy queen. You are truly one of the easiest people in the whole world to celebrate. You have the most beautiful heart and radiant soul. I love getting to live life alongside you. Whether it’s a late night dance party in the kitchen, playing bingo at out there, traveling across the world, or giggling our way through a yoga class, getting to experience it all with you is a true gift. Love love love you 🌻

Honestly could not be more in love with these two humans. I was getting a coffee at txa txa on Saturday morning and messaged Kara to see if she & Jake would want to do a shoot altogether so I could test out my new film camera. Within two hours, we were at sipping on coffees & teas, and eating ALL the pastries. We finished up with a lil home session and my goodness did I just melt over witnessing their love for one another. The giggles (cackles), the tender moments, and the unconditional comfort they feel around each other. Truly, such a gift to document 💛

Part 1 of Carly & Stu’s beautiful wedding held at Duck Duck Goat on a snowy day in Chicago earlier this month ✨ This ceremony and dinner truly captured the deepest sense of intimacy and intentionality. The evening brought together their closest friends and immediate family in the stunning Jade Room in Fulton Market. Fresh pink flowers in every direction, the most mouthwatering dishes, and there may have been a frosting replica of their dog Lemmy on the wedding cake… It was such an honor to be part of a night so full of unconditional love. All the happy years 🥹💛
