Road tripping through Washington was one of my favorite domestic trips, and I have so many travel photos from over the years that I still need to share! Chasing the mist and magic of the Hoh Rainforest 🌿✨ The rain was coming down hard, but honestly, it just made everything feel so much more movie-like. We even grabbed a lantern from our AirBnB to add a little extra vibe—because why not fully embrace the wet & wild beauty of Washington? 🌧️

Incorporating projectors into my shoots has completely transformed my creative process. Being able to project images, patterns, and videos onto my subjects and their surroundings has opened up so many new possibilities.

It adds a whole new layer to the experience—both for the subject and the viewer. Whether I’m projecting onto a backdrop or directly onto the model, it creates texture and depth in a way that traditional lighting just can’t replicate. It’s been a total game-changer.

As we head into 2025, I can’t help but reflect on how much I miss shooting outside and utilizing natural light. There’s something so magical about the way the sun hits skin, creating a soft, warm glow that no artificial light can quite replicate. As a portrait photographer, I’ve always loved capturing that raw, unfiltered connection between my subject and the world around them.

The freedom of shooting outdoors, surrounded by nature, is something I’ve truly missed. Whether it’s the golden hour light or the way shadows play against a beautiful landscape, outdoor sessions always bring an extra layer of authenticity and depth to the portraits I create.

This spring and summer, my goal is to get outside more—soaking up some sunshine while capturing real moments with real people. 🌞 If you’re looking to have your portrait taken in a more natural setting, I’m excited to embrace the fresh air and start booking some outdoor shoots!

Back in 2019, I took a solo trip to Paris with my camera, ready to soak in the city’s beauty and charm. It was honestly such an incredible experience. Wandering the streets, snapping photos of everyday life, and stumbling on hidden gems felt so peaceful, almost meditative. I got completely caught up in the moment and the magic of the city. Paris will always have a special place in my heart, and I can’t wait to go back someday to make more memories and capture even more of its magic.

There’s something truly magical about shooting with natural light. The way it dances across a person’s face, the softness it can add to an image, and the way it can completely transform a space. I absolutely love working with natural light - it allows me to create images that are both ethereal and authentic. There’s just something about the way that the sun plays with shadows and highlights that brings a certain dreaminess to my work.
