Moto, who served in the famed 100th Infantry Battalion, was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross for heroic actions on July 7, 1944, which was upgraded to the Medal of Honor in 2000.

VFW Post 5079 and it's Auxilary will be hosting our Annual Memorial Day Parade.Monday May 30th starting at 9 am, Mass at St. Mary's then to our Monument for Services. There will be refreshments served at the Post immediately following the ceremony. Please join us as we honor those that gave all.

VFW Post 5079 and Auxiliary are hosting our annual POW/MIA ceremony tonight September 21st. Vigil starts at 7pm. This event is open to the Public. Please join as we remember and honor those that have not come home.

VFW Auxiliary 5079 has teamed up with VFW Auxiliary 8821 to make Valentines for our hospitalized Veterans❤ Stop on in and sign a Valentine at 5104 S. Archer. We will be sending them to Jesse Brown and Hines.
