Had to save the wide shot for last in this series 🌆🥲
Realizing I never explained that is during the spring and fall equinox, when the sun perfectly aligns with the east-west streets of the Chicago grid at sunrise and sunset. I’ve witnessed it twice now in-person and the rush of adrenaline is addicting! I just love the shared energy in the city between all the equinox phenomenon enthusiasts 🧡
Thanks for all the love this past week! I promise it won’t take another full year for me to post again 🤭

If you squint hard enough, you might be able to see in the crowd along Michigan Ave OR on the CTA station 😆
That 3-5 minute window when the sun is if your face goes by in the blink of an eye (that may or may not be frying from looking through your viewfinder) but I just love sharing it with all the other equinox enthusiasts 😆🌇

I know I’ve been talking a big game about but for those that don’t know what it is: it happens during the spring and fall equinox, when the sun perfectly aligns with the east-west streets of the Chicago grid at sunrise and sunset ☀️

I am SO excited to start sharing my photos from this week 🌇
This first shot honestly took my breath away when I was sorting through my photos, mainly because I truly don’t remember taking it 😆 but I’m so glad I did! I love finding unique angles/compositions to capture a moment and what better opportunity than all these silhouettes in the middle of Madison St. 📸🧡
